eSIM
eSIM (Embedded SIM Card) is
a virtual SIM card technology that is built into the device and, unlike
traditional physical SIM cards, does not require physical insertion or
replacement of the card slot. eSIM is integrated on chip and can be configured
and activated by software, which makes it easy for users to switch mobile
network operators or add multiple virtual operators.
On Android
You can find the "Add eSIM" option in "Settings" > "Connections" > "SIM Card Manager", or enter *#06# in the dial interface and check if the EID is displayed.
On iOS
You can find the "Add eSIM" option in "Settings" > "Cellular Network", or enter *#06# in the dial interface and check if the EID is displayed.
Other notes:
- In some countries or regions, certain models of mobile phones may not support eSIM.
- Even if the EID is displayed, there may be individual devices that are not fully compatible. It is recommended to consult the device manufacturer or sales agent.
you can install your newly purchased eSIM by:
- scan the QR code or
- manually entering the activation code
Not allowed. An eSIM can only be installed once. This means that if an eSIM is removed from a device, it cannot be installed again.
This error message may appear when you are trying to add an eSIM that has been added previously or when the QR code scan is incomplete due to an unstable connection.
